How long will my laptop be in your lab?
It depends on the repair. In most
cases we have a 24/48 hour turn around time. We keep
many parts in stock and do not need to custom order.
Do you replace the power
jacks on laptops? Yes! We have most in stock
and that is a 24/48 hr. process.
Do you warranty your work?
ABSOLUTELY! We provide a 90 day warranty on all labor
and a manufacture's warranty on all parts. We even
discount our flat rate to $75 if you find something else
wrong that is not part of the original reason why you
brought it or mailed it in to begin with.
What is your hourly rate?
We charge a flat
rate of $95 + parts. $45 down, + Parts (purchased in
advance and $50 a pick up. In some cases like Software
installation, Remote Tech Sessions, we will charge
hourly rates starting at $50 to $120. For Laptop repairs
you only non flat rate could be us reloading all your
application software after a reformat. But that is
entirely up to you.
What are my payment options?
We accept Checks, USPS Money Orders, Cashier's Checks
and all major credit/debit cards. Please note that all
check's are subject to a seven day hold to clear the
bank before services are rendered.
Do you have techs on staff
24/7?
We have on-call tech support and in store
tech support 7 days a week. Our tech's do not handle the
customers due to production issues. Our customer service
takes care of all incoming calls and status on repairs
for our customers. Our customer service for status on
any repairs are during normal business hours PST. After
hours tech support is for non-repair lab related services.
The provide tech support for our national ISP, network
and web emergencies. However, in most cases they can
check the status of your repair only, if they are at the
repair lab location or logged in remotely. We will do
all that we can to assist you after normal business
hours.
What are your hours?
9-6p Monday - Friday and 11-5p on the
weekends.
What type of brands do you
handle?
All, we meet challenges on a daily basis.
We work on everything from Cisco Hardware, Microsoft
Servers, Dell Servers and laptops and the list just
keeps going. No worries, just send it in and we'll take
care of you.
Do you replace internal parts
like fans, motherboards and etc?
Absolutely! We replace old parts
with new warranty parts. We also do not over clock
systems. The only phone call we want from you when you
receive your laptop at home is "It's working great,
thankx!".
Can I order my own part and
have you install it? Typically, it is not
something we like to do. We have found in the past that
the parts have been incompatible, or we could not
warranty our work or part, it
provided a snowfall of other issues and hurt the
productivity and customer relations. So, no we do not
install parts that the customers has procured. If a
customer demands to procure their own part, then we will
charge an hourly rate of $95 to install it. But, we will
not warranty the part or labor.
Can I order my part
from you and install it myself?
Unfortunately, this also will void the
warranty. So, no we do not resell laptop parts to repair
customers. We do have a retail lobby and online store, which you
can purchase those items if it is a match.
Do I need to send my OS and
Application CD's with the laptop?
Yes. to be on
the safe site yes. All CD's must be in a CD Binder with
a list of CD's in it and your contact information.
I don't have a OS (operating system
CD) but my buddy does, can I use that?
No. You need the
OS CD that came with your laptop. Like many, many
companies, they don't send OS Cd's anymore and depend on
the hard drive partion that they store it on to never
fail. Reality is, if you need to reformat, you will need
an OS. We recommend purchasing an OS from
us,
or send a Full Retail Version to us with your repair
that we can install.
If you reformat what
happens to my data?
We do a back up and put your data on our
system. When the reformat is done, we put your data back. Data
Back is an additional $50.
What if you get my
system and it is my hard drive that failed, is my data lost?
Chances are
no. We would change your order to $99 and see if we can pull the
data and make your system reboot. If we can get the data files
back, it's $195 flat extra. If we pull the files and the hard
drive is bad, we'll need another storage device to put it on.
Again, you can buy from us, or send another to us.
