Dial Up Setting Instructions for 98SE, ME and Windows 2000.

Click on Start, Settings, Control Panel, Internet Options or Network and Dial Up Connections , Set Up, follow the rest of the way below.

Double Click on Make A New Connection

Click "Next on the Welcome screen. The next screen is titled Setting Up Your Internet Connection. You will be asked to choose between using a modem or a LAN to connect to the internet. Click the round button beside the first option, I connected through a phone line and a modem and click [Next] to continue.

Select "I connected through a phone line and a modem".

At this stage the Install New Modem wizard will pop up if no modem is installed yet; follow the instructions and all should be well. If it does not appear, even better, just continue.

Under Choose Modem, your modem should already be selected (if you have more than one choose the one your internet connection will go through). Click [Next] to continue.

Under Step 1 of 3:, type in your local number under Telephone number, click here to see the list of available phone numbers and click [Next] to continue.

In Step 2 of 3:, beside User name: enter the username you selected from your subscription form. It will be all lowercase and make sure to add @idomail.net at the end of your username. username@idomail.net. Type carefully: if you do not get this right, you will not be able to log in until it is fixed.

For convenience you may wish to enter your password now. If you do, be very careful: you will not be able to see what you are typing, and you need to get upper and lower case exactly right. If you enter your password now, it will be permanently stored and anyone who can use your computer will be able to log on and use your internet account. If that is not what you want, leave the password blank, and you will be prompted to enter it each time you connect.

Click [Next] to continue.

If you do not enter a password, you will be warned that you may not be able to connect. Don't worry, you'll be able to enter it later.

In Step 3 of 3:, beside Connection name: enter IDOMAIL

If you did not want or have an POP3 email set up at the time of your account set up, click "No". Click [Next] to continue if you wish to set up your existing IDOMAIL Email account.

This is where you choose, "log on using" and enter your dial up username@idomail.net and dial up password. Click Next to continue.

This is where you enter the Email Address and Password that you signed up for. This is different than your Internet Access Account information.

It may ask that you restart your system before it will allow you to dial up. Click Ok Below.
